His social commentary appeals to the average blue collar type of guy that has never really accomplished much in life,yet i still watch the show and I feel degraded for doing so

You're kinda right actually, he never went to college, he has street smarts and a genius comedy fibre (he worked insanely hard at stand up for many years, so he's the best), but he's not educated.
