why are so many people supporting Hamas?

honestly, I dont understand this. it will be like supporting Hitler and being sympathetic to his cause.

reply

What does this have to do with the Pop Tarts movie?

reply

what does the other post have to do with pop tarts?

reply

Nothing. People like OP are very likely Israel or US government owned trolls, here to manage our thoughts.

reply

People are not supporting Hamas cretin!

They are supporting the Palestinian people not being slaughtered by invaders of their territory at the expense of the US tax payers.

And why did you post this here, it has nothing to do with this movie whatsoever?! Keep your nonsense to the politics board please...

reply

the palestinians voted for Hamas in 2006. why didnt they have democratic elections 4 years later and vote them out?

who is telling you about whats going on in Gaza? do you believe everything hamas tells you?

Hamas could end this war today if they released all the hostages and ceased all activities in gaza.

Russia has killed over 40,000 innocent people, including children and no one cares or is protesting.

Palestinians moved to America to escape persecution from Hamas and now they are chanting death to America. how messed up is that?

and why did you post this here, it has nothing to do with this movie whatsoever?! keep your nonsense to the politics board please...

reply

The reason you should keep this crap to the politics board is that you post this same garbage there every day.

I have already explained the nonsense of your logical failure around the fact that WE are supplying the weapons used in the invasion / slaughter in the case of Palestinian and THAT is why people protest in support of Palestine. We are supplying the weapons in DEFENCE of Ukraine and therefore what do you want people to protest about you muppet?!!

So keep your nonsensical gibberish for the appropriate board, where people are already aware of your empty propagandic slant and can choose to ignore after they're reasoned with you already and realise that logic has no place in what you're seeking to do...

reply

take your anti Semitism back to the politics board, not sure what Jerry has to do with Hamas attacking Israel.

and Iran is supplying Hamas to kill Israeli's.

I said no one is protesting Ukrainians being slaughtered by Russia.

I support freedom and Israel.

reply

Ha! To repeat your same garbage again:- the only anti-semite here is YOU with your "cause and effect" logic.

If only Israel didn't exist, Hamas wouldn't have attacked innocent Jewish kids. Therefore Israel shouldn't exist...

That is ACTUAL anti-semitic talk you came up with which I can support by posting the link to... What actual anti-semitism could you attribute to me? Other, of course, than the modern definition of being opposed to the current slaughter and displacement of millions of Palestinians...

reply

that reasoning makes no sense.

I am sure Saudi Arabia would love to have the palenstians in their country.

reply

that reasoning makes no sense

LOL. Well that was your own exact reasoning, so take it up with yourself...

reply

haha no. I never said that Israel shouldn't exist.

I have conferred with JoWilli and he is awesome.

reply

I never said you said that, I said that was your reasoning.

What you actually said was that the innocent people in Gaza deserved to die as a result of Hamas' actions. "Cause and effect" were your exact words.

When I pointed out the anti-semitic extension of that cause and effect logic was that if Israel didn't exist, Hamas wouldn't (cause and effect), and thus those innocent Israeli kids would't have been killed, therefore your rationale was that Israel should never have been created, you went quiet on the subject strangely enough...

Anyway, I'm glad you've had a chat with yourself and found yourself to be awesome! 😂

reply

you and I both know I didnt say this: "that the innocent people in Gaza deserved to die as a result of Hamas' actions."

I will bet you 1 zillion that you cant find me saying that.

anyways, innocent people die in any war. but its interesting that 40,000 innocent men, women, children and babies have been killed by Putin and no one is protesting. no students are protesting. the international community isnt calling for a ceasefire, Blinken isnt calling for a ceasefire. Biden doesnt want a ceasefire. NATO doesnt care, UN doesnt care. Greta doesnt care. The only country that wants a ceasefire is China.

China has reiterated its position that a ceasefire and peace talks are the “only way” to end the war in Ukraine.

anyways part 2, if Israel didnt exist then they wouldnt have been slaves to Egypt for 400 years and wouldnt have been taken to Babylon for 70 years and 6 million Jews wouldnt have been murdered by Hitler. Hamas would still exist though and all that land would be owned by terrorists. America and its Allies would be fighting wars in that area just like we did in Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan. more than likely innocent people would have been killed.

its not Israel's fault that Hamas isnt fighting back. where is their military? why arent they defending their homeland? why is Hamas wanting a ceasefire now and not 6 months ago? all Hamas has to do is release all the hostages and surrender and the war will be over. but now they are getting their Jihad terrorist friends released in a hostage swap. they will regroup and in 5 years or so will attack Israel again. and thus we will be having this same exact conversation again. thanks! I am awesom0.

reply

you and I both know I didnt say this: "that the innocent people in Gaza deserved to die as a result of Hamas' actions."

This is what you said:-
"maybe Hamas shouldn't have invaded Israel and murdered 1600 people and kidnapped 250. again its cause and effect"
https://moviechat.org/bd0000082/Politics/6609dc54a2b9e3144cbdf78f/Want-to-Boycott-Israel-Say-No-Thanks?reply=660c09a3ff397b5acd3d81a9

So you absolutely pinned the death of innocent people on Hamas' actions. "Its cause and effect."

Your words.

reply

this what you said that I said:

"that the innocent people in Gaza deserved to die as a result of Hamas' actions."

this is what I really said:

"maybe Hamas shouldn't have invaded Israel and murdered 1600 people and kidnapped 250. again its cause and effect"

2 different statements. you are clearly misinterpreting what I am saying. I also like how you ignored my other statements. anyways...

lets go about this a different way.

why did the US declare war on Japan?

reply

LOL. I said:-

"So all I can do is have a non bias take on things and that the fact that a country responding to terrorist actions by slaughtering innocent people in another country is wrong."

And your DIRECT reply was:-
"maybe Hamas shouldn't have invaded Israel and murdered 1600 people and kidnapped 250. again its cause and effect."

I think perhaps you are "misinterpreting" what you previously replied to and the words YOU used...

reply

those people wouldnt be in harms way if Hamas wasnt a terrorist organization that wants to exterminate Jews. emphasis on TERRORIST. if they were good neighbors like Qatar or Saudi Arabia then this war wouldnt be happening.

innocent people dying any war or conflict is wrong. but the IDF is not singling out civilians. Hamas is using them as human shields and Hamas wont let them evacuate the area. your outrage should be against Hamas.

innocent people died during WWII, was it wrong? yes. did it have to happen? no. Germany and Japan invaded other countries thus starting a global war.

reply

"Hamas could end this war today if they released all the hostages and ceased all activities in gaza."

That's naive, to put it mildly. Hostages didn't cause the 2008-2009 war or the blockade.

Any meaningful analysis has to include the fact that Israel propped up Hamas for many years as a counter to the Palestinian Authority, hoping that the hardliners would keep Palestinians divided and ruin any opportunity for a two-state solution, while Israel continued to take more and more land in the West Bank. It worked, and Hamas's actions have also given cover for Israel to cleanse Gaza.

I'm not trying to excuse Hamas's actions, which were barbaric and inexcusable. But Israel's actions are every bit as reprehensible, perhaps even more so, given that we should hold democracies to a higher standard.

There really are no good guys here, just a lot of civilians being misled and used as justification for terrible acts by power-hungry and ruthless leaders.

reply

it was started because of Hamas. you do know that Hamas are terrorists and are being funded by Iran?

Germany and Japan both surrendered in 1945. you are naïve thinking this is Israel's fault somehow. I guess you forgot what happened on Oct 7 of last year. Hamas invaded Israel and butchered 1600 men, women, children and babies. they raped women and beheaded babies. you dont care because it didnt happen to your family.

Hamas and Iran are trying to ethnically wipe Israel from the map. they chant death to Israel and death to America everyday.

I dont see the west bank or palenstine on this map. the land was given to the 12 tribes of Judah by God.

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/af/73/49/af7349c1ff3e543784ac322fba87c4c1.png

other countries have been trying to take the land away from the Israelites for thousands of years.

586 BCE
Under the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II, the Babylonians first laid siege to Jerusalem in 587 BCE. After months of destruction, the Babylonians were successful in conquering Jerusalem and Judah in 586 BCE, the year when Jerusalem finally did fall to the Babylonians.

people are naïve to the history of Gods people. you should read the Old Testament sometime.

Hitler exterminated over 6 million Jews but a lot people dont care or deny that it even happened. everyone is jumping on the anti-Semite bandwagon because they think its cool or edgy.

maybe Hamas shouldnt have invaded a far superior Country?

Hamas is fighting against the Lion of Judah. so good luck with that.

also like I said before, no one cares about the genocide in Ukraine. no students or anyone is protesting that war.

I hope you're getting well paid to spout Israeli propaganda - the alternative is that you're wasting your time and mental health for nothing.

Israeli propaganda is for boomers. It's landing with an increasingly dull thud with more media savvy younger audiences these days.

the savvy ones are educated, the problem is the dumb ones who believe everything they hear and see on tiktok.

The Palestinian "people" were invented in 1964 by Jassir Arafat with the active assistance of left-wing European media. It did not exist before. The fabrication of a Palestinian people served solely to delegitimize Israel. This is not even a conspiracy theory, but common knowledge.

reply

Hi Foot. You're a good mate here on MC but you seem misguided on this issue. Thanks for sharing that map. There is a difference between territory and people. Wyoming is a territory, just like Provence, Tierra del Fuego, or Bavaria. The people who live there are Americans, French, Argentinians, and Germans. Palestine is a topographical place. The people there are called Arabs.

reply

Well, I don't disagree that there weren't Palestinian "people" per se at the time that map was drawn up. In the same way that there were no Israeli people.

But I think that in itself is simply semantics. There's clearly a demarked Arab State within that Palestinian mandate map. Just the same as there's a demarked Jewish state.

reply

"The United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine was a proposal by the United Nations, which recommended a partition of Mandatory Palestine at the end of the British Mandate. On 29 November 1947, the UN General Assembly adopted the Plan as Resolution 181. The resolution recommended the creation of independent Arab and Jewish States linked economically and a Special International Regime for the city of Jerusalem and its surroundings.

Jewish organizations collaborated with UNSCOP during the deliberations, and the Palestinian Arab leadership boycotted it."

reply

Yes because the Arabs did not want to share / accept the creation of a Jewish State on what they perceived as their land...

Again, I'm not disagreeing with you here.

reply

getting close to the 1 year anniversary.

reply

Beats me. When I was young everybody was pro Israel and anti Palestine. Now it's been flipped 180. Hard to take any of it seriously. Just like them crazy al qaeda. One decade they're the good guys, the next they're the bad guys. There's so much lies and propaganda flying round who knows what's really happening over there.

reply

excellent point. with the advent of social media, it magnifies propaganda 1000%. I dont think young people truly understand whats going on in the world today, they just believe whatever is on tiktok.

reply

BEING OLD OR YOUNG DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN YOU UNDERSTAND THINGS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE.

reply

its called wisdom and been there and done that. I was oblivious to what was going on in the world when I was younger. not saying young people are stupid, just saying that most all people under 25 get their news from social media. there is so much being posted that there is no way to fact check anything. even the mainstream media is guilty of manipulating the news by editing or posting sound bytes with no context.

YOU HAVE GOOD POINT ABOUT MEDIA AND THE NEWS AND INTEGRITY...THE PART ABOUT AGE OR GENERATIONS IS NONSENSE THOUGH.

reply

Social media demographics in the United States
Those between the ages of 19 and 29 are the most active on social media (84% have an account). They're followed closely by users aged 30-49 (81%), 50-64 (73%), and 65+ (45%).

What age range is most affected by social media?
Additionally, this age group is also the most vulnerable to negative effects such as depression, anxiety, and negative self-image. The 18-25 age group represents the primary focus of social media companies, and understandably so, given their propensity for volatility and online presence.

I stand by my claims.

Anarchists at George Washington University in Washington, DC, have apparently called for the beheadings of school administrators amid their continued anti-Israel encampment.

Demonstrators on campus called for the “guillotine” to be used on GW president Ellen Granberg and other school administrators, a resurfaced video posted to social media showed.

“Guillotine, guillotine, guillotine, guillotine” a person chanted as others joined in, while some specifically targeted Christopher Alan Bracey, GW’s African American provost, the National Desk (TND) reported. “Bracey, Bracey, we see you, you assault students too.”

“To the guillotine,” another can be heard shouting, per the report. “Off to the motherf–king gallows with you too.”

such good people those muslims...

israelis are from europe and usa, they are khazzars that changed their religion about a 1000years ago, they are not indigenous which is why israel has banned ancestry DNA testing, also they came from europe and started murdering and raping Palestinians. you are on the wrong side of history on this one.

reply

Research from ADL has documented in detail the rise in antisemitism and anti-Zionism in the weeks and months following Hamas’s brutal assault on Israel on October 7, 2023. One of the most insidious claims used to discredit both Jews and Israel is that Ashkenazi Jews (i.e., Jews who trace their ancestry to Northern and Eastern Europe) have no historical or genetic relationship to Jewish antiquity in the land of Israel—making Jews “colonizers” with no legitimate claim to the land that makes up the Jewish state.

Some proponents of these claims invoke the so-called Khazar theory, which posits that modern Ashkenazi Jews are descended from a Turkic population of converts to Judaism from the Caucasus area of Central and Eastern Asia (known as the Khazars) during the early Middle Ages.

The Khazars were a nomadic Turkic people that, in the late 6th-century CE, established a major commercial empire covering the southeastern section of modern European Russia, southern Ukraine, Crimea, and Kazakhstan.

you do realize I have access to the internet? you cant just make up stuff you heard on tiktok.

its all propaganda.

the land was given to the Israelites by God. maybe you should talk to him about it.

There were a lot of Nazis and there are even more Muslims. Guess which group had less success in procreating.

reply

My sense of it is that a lot of people hate Jews, but until recently it wasn't acceptable to express that hatred, so they kept it to themselves. In recent years, racism against white people has become normalized, and after the October 7th attacks, the usual pro-Palestine hate mongers came out to support their cause, and the rest of the anti-semites realized they no longer had to keep their hate to themselves. If it was okay to ridicule and hate white people, maybe it was okay to do the same to Jewish people, who are more or less white people anyway. They tested the waters, found that not only was there no pushback but instead there was support, and suddenly it was okay to be racist, as long as the object of your racism is Jewish people.

reply

well said and articulate.

reply

The only thing that's changed is that Zionists and conservatives have shifted the goal posts, only slightly. Whereas before, they liked to tar anyone critical of Netanyahu and his predecessors policies in Gaza and West Bank as anti-Semitic. That has now been changed so that if you aren't basically supportive of Israel systematically wiping residential areas of Gaza off the map and killing thousands of civilians in reprisals for Oct 7th, the you are just as bad as the Nazis.

Also bad, but almost ridiculous to compare, is the fact that people thousands of miles away are making it about them. US citizens who are in no danger are meeting vocal resistance for their support of Israel and calling it the same thing as being in Israel and subject to anti-Semitic genocide. It's just not true.
