I'm sorry but seeing all these alleged adults post praise about this thing makes me genuinely worry about our future and the future of cinema in general.

Great storytelling is great storytelling, whether the actors are flesh, animated, Legos, talking animals, animated talking animals, or even robots!

At least this movie is getting better reviews than "Planes" or "Turbo" did.
And where else can you get superheroes, historical figures, Star Wars, & Lord of the Rings characters to all play in the same 'sandbox'?
(I know, I know, a sandbox is a bad place to play with Legos but I coudn't find a better word!)

I'm sorry but an 8.8 on IMDB and 95%+ on RT means the movie is great - no matter what it is rated. In fact, I have a bigger problem going to a movie that is borderline adult if you know what I mean than seeing something like Legos or TMNT. Both were my favorites growing up.

OP is just insecure probably because you have mental problems about being around things aimed for children.

BTW, Bloomberg just reviewed this movie and said the jokes are aimed towards teenagers and adults.

Riiightt.... It's Thursday, usually most RT reviews come out today and the lowest it's gotten overall is 98% and 93% and we're HALF-WAY through the total that's going to come in. So mass critics are absolutely loving it, with it dropping to 88-90% at most. And yet IMDB is going to say it's uninspired because you solely do? There's no way it's going to drop like you're saying.

So... were you looking for an intelligent discussion on adult regression? Because I think there are websites you can do that without sharing a screen name with a 60 year old cartoon. Not saying I don't like Loony Toons or anything, but I think you could have thought this one out a little more. BTW, I'm 21, and I plan on taking my parents to see this for my mother's birthday tomorrow.

I heard today on Bloomberg that Legos is a billion dollar annual industry. What an invention!

I think this movie is going to blow up like Toy Story with many sequels!
