If you are over the age of ten and like this movie, you have issues.

I'm sorry but seeing all these alleged adults post praise about this thing makes me genuinely worry about our future and the future of cinema in general.

So you saying we should hate the things you hate?

reply

Relax, you freaks got your sequel...

The only one with issues is the one who cares about what adults think about a great movie. You sound like a 15 year old who thinks Game of Thrones is 'mature' and anything that's lighthearted and fun is for 5 year olds.

reply

A great movie.... HA HA HA if you're eight years old.

Wait, did anyone notice the OP's name is Duck Dodger?! And they're denigrating watching kids films?

reply

OP is a dipstick
This 30 something quite enjoyed the movie, thought it was quite funny and fun.
Loved seeing the 80s spaceman and Castle ghost and real trip down memory lane.

Clever movie, although it dragged on towards the end when they introduced the live action junk, which was unnecessary.

i dont think kids like under ten understand the complex messages within the movie
let alone most people in general

the sad reality of conforming with society
destroying everything that is weird

clearly even people "over the age of ten" like yourself are too immature to watch the lego movie

xD

never played with Lego before... maybe a little bit, but never... really.

Well, I think the whole point, and the fun, of the film is that the characters and their environment work exactly like the real Lego you played with when you were a child. People can swap heads, swap bodies (and therefore clothes); they are rigid, moving only at the joints where real Lego figures move. Everything you see is made of real Lego components - fire, steam, smoke, water. There are lots of recognisable sets, parts and themes - as we were watching we kept saying Oh, we had that!

Other Lego-themed animations don't work like this - the characters may look like Lego figures but they are animated just like any other cartoon characters, so they don't have that authenticity.

Before someone comes along to point this out, yes I know that it's all actually CGI, but it was engineered to look like the real thing. That's what makes it fun, IMO. Anyone agree with me?

The average american adult has the IQ of a 10 year old, so it's a perfect fit.
