I really enjoyed it. Not really a Kevin Hart fan, but I thought he and DJ had great chemistry. To anyone complaining about the lack of a tight story: you're doing it wrong! It's a comedy, turn off your brain and laugh a little. The film has positive messages for families that can handle a little crude language. No pun intended, but I thought this was a comedy with heart!
shareIt's a pretty formulaic buddy "cop" movie, but let me tell you... by the end I was HOWLING. My face hurt from laughing so hard.
If you graduated high school in the mid/late 80's or early 90's and remember "Sixteen Candles" as a touchstone in your adolescence, you will find this a funny, if not particularly challenging, movie.
There was a real split in the audience, it seemed. Younger people didn't get some of the "cultural" (and I use that term loosely) references. Or they got them, but they weren't "of" that time, so they weren't really relevant to their high school years. It had a lot of "you kinda had to be of that era" humor. People a little older, who would have had their 20 yr high school graduation pass, were rolling. It's an interesting take on the bullying and "nerdy guy gets good" tropes of the high school movies of our time.

The Rock & Hart carry the film. I laughed for a good part of the film.
shareReally stupid, only simpletons will laugh at this for the most part. Some of it was good but easily the worst POS Dwayne has been in. A total mess.
shareIt has its moments. But I don't want to give it away. But, generally what makes a movie decent to me is if it's rewarding with how it concludes and its characters either are likeable or have relatable/likable stories. Even if it was a silly movie, there was some human struggle in it that I liked. Also, if the humor is wacky but not so much that it becomes a weird cartoon, because I'm not a huge fan of weird/gross gags, like the Scary Movie movies but okay with it, but there was only one in this that I recall.
Overall, I give it like a 6.8/10
I thought it was good! Very funny. I laughed out loud a ton and that's pretty rare for me.
Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson have excellent chemistry. I expect a sequel.

just watched it & it was a funny feel good movie. Now if you go into a comedy about the CIA & expect an air tight plot this isn't for you. If you're one of those people who like to guess the endings don't go see it. But for me, I'm able to just enjoy the movie. The chemistry of Kevin and Dewayne was awesome. I laughed continuously and I'm not a fan of his stand up. It was all around good fun.
