I don't know about you but I personally really enjoyed that movie! :) This was the best werewolf I have seen in a movie and I thought that Amanda Seyfried was perfect for the part. What did everyone else think?? I hope there are more supporters of this awesome movie! :)
I enjoyed this movie immensely despite it's many shortcomings, i can easily suspend my disbelief if it would result in a pleasurable experience. Think I'll watch it again tonight =)
I was actually very interested in the movie during the first half and mid half of the movie.
But then I really hated it towards the end. It became yet another twilight wannabe themed movie (yes I know it was directed by the same twilight director).
They even had the same Jacob/Edward angle: One girl, two guys, she's in love with one, while the other guy she doesn't like is actually a nice caring guy etc.
Saw the bad reviews wasnt expecting much, but ended up enjoying it, loved the mystery, never knew 100% who the wolf was... so that was cool. I did guess and had a good idea, but they were good at making you think about it.
There were some silly parts, like the festival dance part and the way people just keep getting killed at the start, there was some mourning but, it seems way to casual. Otherwise a pretty good movie, 7/10
Not great, but not quite as bad as I was expecting. The identity of the wolf made for a decent twist. I can usually predict villains in movies and shows pretty well. Didn't see it coming. I liked how they worked in the "Grandma what big eyes you have, etc" segment. Decent chemistry between the leads too. 6.5/10
My main gripe was Gary Oldman. First of all, he is way too great of an actor to be in a movie like this, and what it made even worse is that he gave the worst performance I have seen him give. It was so over the top. If you are going to stoop to be in a movie like this, at least make sure you give a good performance.
My friend went to the theater to see this. She absolutely hated it. I rented it on netflix and I thought it was a really good film. I've now seen it several times on one of the movie channels and I never get sick of it. I am a huge werewolf fan and I loved the look of the werewolf. I thought the plot was good. I love Amanda Seyfried. I know a lot of people hate this film but I really enjoy it, every time I see it.
Who was this movie aimed at? Teens? Romance fans? Horror aficionados? The only reason I saw this movie was because of the NIN song in the trailer, I thought it was going to be a weird, violent horror movie in the tradition of movies like "The Company of Wolves". Otherwise I thought this movie was kind of funny. Gary Oldman was the best part, it's like his character knows he's trapped in a bad movie and he's just going along with it.
