Best Song?
All the attention seems to be settling around "Never Enough" and "The Greatest Show." But am I the only one loving "Tightrope?" Lyrically and musically it is one of the best songs, IMHO.

shareI loved all of them. It's pretty impossible to get them out of your head. I like "This is Me" the most of all of them but yeah I never knew Michelle Williams could sing that well. She definitely creates one of the most powerful moments of the film.
I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/8_-6y44Ueio
A Million Dreams is my personal favourite, but Tightrope is a damn gem of a song.
shareThey were all just splendid! If I had to choose a favorite it'd have to be "Never Enough" as it was belted out superbly and Idk if it's coz I've got a thing for redheads, but Rebecca Ferguson dressed all in white with that dark auburn hair and those red-colored lips was just sublime!đ Next would have to be "This is Me" with Keala Settle singing as it was such a "fighting" chorus of a song so befitting of her (and all of her tribe of "freaks" tbh) vulnerable and wounded character in spite of her "warrior"-like demeanor--Could so relate to their feelings of isolation and unfairness! *sigh* Then "A Million Dreams" at the start of the film sung by a younger P.T. and Charity was just mesmerizing and so appealing--a great song to get young and old to dream and hope again!
shareLittle late here but I also love "Tightrope" (one of the few waltz songs I actually like). My favorite part in it is after she sings "You... u... u.. u... uuuuuhh". That synthesizer sound that then wobbles through the head gets me every time. Too bad the effect is only that impressive in the theater and not on the Soundtrack.
They used a similar sound in the beginning of "Rewrite the stars".
I also love "From now on". The energy is amazing.
I agree that the music (in all movies) sounds so much better in the theater mix. I wish it were easier to find surround mixes of music in general. I have a few music DVD's (classical, rock, jazz) in surround sound and it's so much more dramatic and interesting. Even when they incorporate some old pop song into the film, the new mixes sound great. When you get home and listen to the same recording on a CD or via streaming you think "hmmm, this song isn't has great as I thought when I heard it at the theater."
(FWIW, remixed surround discs of Welcome to My Nightmare, Dark Side of the Moon, etc. are incredible.)
A Million Dreams.
shareNone, really. They're pretty much the same. The entire score reminded me of the Fifty Shades soundtrack.
shareThanks for sharing.
shareNone for me either. The songs have nothing to do with the era of the story or the theme of Barnumâs Greatest Show. The songs are weak MTV videos. Richard Rodgers and George Gershwin would cringe.
shareAll of the songs are great, but "This Is Me" was my favourite.
