I'm so OVER what's ok for men NOT being ok for women!

This movie was hilarious, raunchy and funny as hell. But the same people who loved Hangover don't like it because women are doing it and only men are allowed to be obnoxious, use poop humor or crazy sexual situations?? Ug. I realize some might not enjoy this kind of humor - no problem. It's not for everyone but DAMMIT I am sick and frickn tired of seeing, yet AGAIN the double standards.

I have no idea why people compared this The Hangover when it had more in common with the lesser Adam Sandler or Farrelly Brothers comedies.

And those kind of comedies suck for them too.

Bridesmaids had a flat out bad script executed with bad direction, period. Mean Girls did what this movie tried to do much better SEVEN years earlier (where was their Oscar nomination?), yet for some reason everyone treated this movie as some revolutionary thing. No, it's just another cheap & disposable poopy poopy fart fart comedy that already everyone has forgotten about and hasn't influenced a damn thing like everyone predicted it would (I'd credit 2010's Easy A more for getting the ball rolling on re-popularizing female led comedies more than this. Since ya know, Easy A was actually funny). Pitch Perfect, a movie that came out the very next year, did the whole Flawed Lead Character thing better than this. Tina Fey has made an entire CAREER out of doing the kind of character this movie failed at.

But hey, if you want to just accept this bottom barrel laziness, then knock yourself out.

(For what it's worth). I'm male. I rated both "The Hangover" and "Bridesmaids" 8 out of 10.
