I thought it was humorous considering the parallel with the trident to Excalibur.

I didn't find it humorous, but the name Arthur did somewhat made sense. Since he came from the underwater Kingdom of Atlantis, it reasonated that his name would begin with the letter a. But personally I thought the name of Arthur was fairly conventional.

I really wish they'd managed to put a bag of King Arthur flour into the movie somewhere.
