You seem to be a bit confused about the nature of atheism. Though I'm not an atheist, I can confidently assure you that it does not celebrate narcissism or worthlessness, and most definitely does not insist that there is no reason to be alive. It may be difficult to understand if you have been living within the same system of belief your entire life, but a secular person is just as receptive to the beauty and wonder of life as one who worships ancient Middle Eastern scripture.
Furthermore, identifying aspects of Christianity that I disagree with doesn't mean I "hate Christians", it simply means I reject the covenant. The idea that we are born in sin, the idea of vicarious redemption through human sacrifice, the idea that one should love one's enemies, the idea that faith in Christ is the only path to salvation (I'm sorry to tell you, but this is not a strictly Catholic doctrine, the Gospel of John seems to be quite unambiguous about this) -- these are all immoral ideas to me. It's not that I simply disbelieve the stories, I could very well be made to believe them with some evidence -- it's that I think that it would still be immoral even if it were true. My Christian pals know this and understand this and are still happy to be my friends because they know I don't "hate" them.
Finally, I didn't dismiss the movie on the grounds that it was Christian propaganda, even though it was clearly pushing that message. I dismissed it because it was dramatically weak.
