Godzilla: Minus One is mastery. I'd love to see TOHO do a Godzilla/King Kong movie instead of the cheese that Hollywood is putting out. This is only entertaining if you leave your brain on sleep-mode. This franchise started out interesting but has gotten cornier as it has gone on. I hope this was the coup-de-grace for this franchise, but as long as there's money to be made, I'm sure the cheese will continue.
shareI’m a huge Godzilla fan. I love both movies but GxK has more watchability.
GM1 is excellent but takes itself too seriously and spends too much time on the humans than Godzilla.
Though I agree they did push the cheese factor too far with GxK.
Hope they tone it down in upcoming films.
There is no comparison. This movie is superior because it has more monster action

Godzilla minus 1 could have been better if they used a bit of alternate history. Like having Japan win WW2 and be the biggest superpower in the world, and then Godzilla shows up to wreck havoc
shareGodzilla MINUS ONE has very good FX for a $15 Million Budget, however, the story is melodramatic at times and bogs down the movie until the big guy shows up. I have MINUS ONE on Blu Ray and they stuck it to me for $27.00 for it
