Specially after its sequel.
shareThe film was made shortly before wokism ravaged Hollywood like some hideous black goo, and so time has been kind to it on that level.
You’ll also find that people have watched it multiple times despite claiming they hate it - that’s because some of its ideas and mysteries are compelling, and individual moments are very powerful/beautiful/disturbing.
Unfortunately, the script flaws are as gaping as ever and constantly pull you out of the story. It’s a tug-of-war of good and bad elements, I’d say I’ve grown fonder of it over time, probably bumping it from a 6 to a 7/10.
