Under the Skin or Ex Machina?

I also posted this topic on the Ex Machina board. Two of the best science fiction films of the past decade. Which one is your favorite and why? Feel free to share thoughts, opinions, etc. I personally prefer Under the Skin, though again, both are excellent in their own right.

I liked Ex Machina way more and plan on watching it again.

Under the Skin is significantly superior to me eyes. Ex Machina has great scenes, but as a whole has too many issues.

Ex Machina isn't bad, but Under the Skin is far, far superior.

-No. I've got nobody else to remember.

Under the skin by a whole score. Ex Machina tried to look smarter than it actually is.

Under the Skin by a large margin.

Ex Machina has plot holes. Especially regarding power outages and the escape of android.

Under The Skin. Ex Machina was great, but I wouldn't call it "brilliant". Under The Skin on the other hand is a complete masterpiece.

A really good question.

I liked both of them moderately straight after seeing them, and then appreciated them more over the weeks following having watched them, as I thought more deeply about the plots and the good/bad points.

Ex Machina is a little better, but it seems unfair to compare them, as they have a totally different feel to each other.

It's not really a sci-fi film so I would never think to compare it to Ex Machina. Horror/fantasy/drama maybe but it was lacking any technology that would invite comparisons to Ex Machina. Of the two though I prefer Ex Machina. Under the Skin was interesting. It's not a movie I would recommend to anyone without the caveat that it is a little different.

Earth? I've never heard of it.
