Some things made no sense

He kills the first guy by shooting him in front of loads of people. His face is then shown on tv. So there is clearly a manhunt for him. So why is he able to just walk around easily? He should be made as soon as he stopped for gas or bought food or something. I mean the guy is huge, he would need lots of food. So how is he able to buy food without someone going "hey that's the guy off the tv?".

And how is he able to walk around the hospital without someone making him, or the church or whatever that was where the preacher was. No one batted an eyelid. The preachers wife didn't make him either.

And then at the end he kills a cop and then just drives into the sunset? After killing a cop? Yeah I see that happening.

The movie makes no sense. It would have been better if they had had him kill the first guy on his way home from work or something, so it would have been a mystery to the cops what was going on. but instead he kills the guy in public, is made, his picture is splashed all over the tv, and no one recognizes him?

It was just ridiculous.

This depends on the locations of the murders. I don't think they made it clear in the movie. If he was traveling very long distances between kills it's possible that people didn't recognize him. I think this was the case, remember that he stabbed the bouncer in the evening. Then the next morning he hears about it on the radio and then drives all the way back and makes it to the hospital by night time.

It's also possible that his face wasn't as much on tv as we were led to believe. I mean if this happens in real life do you think most people would recognize a guy that was on tv once or twice for a murder? There's murderers walking around freely right now, some have been on tv today. I don't think people pay attention to it.

Also these events only happened in about 2 or 3 days I believe. In the alternate ending, Driver is being followed by several police cars as he drives off in the end.

Hahaha I don't know if that comment was meant to be funny but it made me laugh

I'm the product of a fu7ked up generation. I can't even seem to find a sunset to walk off into

He was driving in deserted / less populated areas most of the time. He wasn’t strolling down Hollywood Blvd. or the Santa Monica Pier. The events of the movie occurred during just a few days, so his picture didn’t have time to spread everywhere.

He drives off into the sunset right after killing the policeman. Its possible he was collared later; the movie doesn’t say that he definitely got away forever.

I know this is old but I just had to say how ridiculous is it that people think that if someone is shown on tv for committing a murder that everyone in the county would instantly recognize the person walking down the street. It’s not like he instantly became as recognizable and notorious as Osama bin Laden or Hitler 6 hours after killing one person.
