I went in not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining Fast turned out to be.

These are my thoughts. There are many others like them, but these ones are mine.
In a starring role. He died at the beginning of The Other Guys. Besides, one's a drama, the others a comedy. I liked how the enemies in this film respected each other as opposed to obnoxious villains blinded by hate. The bathroom scene for example. In typical Hollywood fare after "Please tell my son my son I'm sorry," The Rock would have said "*beep* you" and stabbed him again.

Very well directed and acted ,well worth a look.
same here, some people just don't get it, this is an action movie and a great action movie at that, what were you expecting? turn off your brain and enjoy as you did with such movies like die hard, i really enjoyed it for what it was, 8.5/10.

shareAgreed. I saw the negative feedbacks and was like, "well I like the Rock and Billy Bob" and ended up really loving this movie.
Also, I wouldn't expect The Rock to write movies off because of the initial circumstances this movie fell under. A lot of movies easily start off like this and gain momentum later. Shawshank Redemption didn't do well either initially and gained so much word of mouth later it became huge. Look how much popularity rating this movie has gone up on IMDB. I think it will pick up as word of mouth gets around, at least I think it deserves to.
Agreed. Wasn't expecting much with Dwayne Johnson in the main role but especially the directing of the movie didn't leave me unimpressed. Movie kept me interested throughout.
