I don't care if Harrison gets whacked
He's moody, annoying and ungrateful.
Dexter, and the world, would be better off without him.

Have Dexter, Kurt, and Harrison all die in an epic cave collapse. This show is dead.
shareHe's another Hannah. I think the writers want us to like him, Dexter cares about him, but we don't like him.

I don't know if the writers want us to hate Hannah or Harrison though. Dexter cared about her even though she broke the code. She killed for fun when she kidnapped and tortured people with her high school boyfriend. But she is presented as a fit for him. He left his kid with her for Christ's sake. The same thing is happening again. Harrison is a prick. Totally unlikable, as the OP points out. But "hE's DeXteR's SoN!" No one caress. Nobody likes Harrison. We're not cheering for him, but the protagonist is. It's conflicting and not the good kind either.
shareAgreed - He's bland as dry toast, has no redeeming qualities, as funny as a brick to the face. I feel like we're being steered to be sad and concerned for him, but frankly I was hoping those kids beat the hell out of him in the last episode.
The writers here and doing both a good and terrible job. Good in that it's keeping my interest and the characters for the most part are interesting. Bad in that there is a ton of lazy writing going on and that we're supposed to be rooting for Harrison but he's awful. I guess they are pressed for time, but that's just an excuse for bad writing. Make him more redeemable. Make me want to care for him.
Some people are predicting that Harrison is going to kill Dexter in the end. I'm starting to wonder if Harrison is going to side with Kurt and Dexter is going to be forced to kill him. That will probably set Dexter up for next season (if there is one) where he starts up killing again.
