Somebody tell Betty White her 15,000,000 Minutes of fame are up!

O.K. I get it. Betty White is Old and doing things that people 40 years younger are doing. I loved it when it was done in Grandma's Boy, Back To School, Going In Style, Stop or my Mom will Shoot, Cacoon, Cacoon 2, etc...

But I have seen her do the same Facebook joke three times this week. It really was cute on SNL, and the Snickers commercial. I am just pleading with her to perhaps think about moving over to let some of the other 100 year old actors have some work.

Excuse me, but I grew up ON Betty White. Both on MTM and on all those game shows (when I wasn't in school...obviously).

There's not many actors (male and female) that age that are still ACTIVE in the business...let alone still alive in the second place.

The thing I've noticed that she's getting "spicier" now than she was when she was sweet Sue Ellen. So shalt we all when we get that age.

You Again, should have had more Betty White. She was one of the few good things in the movie.

Betty White wouldn't be in the media so much if people didn't want her there. Personally, I just love her. At this point in her career, she's just having a good time and bringing laughs to a lot of people. She is funny, entertaining, and has a huge heart. What more could you want? I am so happy for her that her career has taken off again. Well deserved :)

I know right,, She was OLD when I was a KID i remember her on a game show in the 70's (Match Game I think) and on the Love Boat a few times also Mary Tyler Moore

What the OP is saying is that, and this is just a guess, while he likes her, he's tired of having writers say "What raunchy thing can we get Betty White to say next? *giggle*"

She not being in put in movies to act, she's being put in movies to say stuff you wouldn't expect her to say so people can have a cheap laugh. It's NOT the right way to use this talented woman. This isn't the Betty White I grew up with.

Besides, even though I find Betty White hysterical...Cloris Leachman is 10 time funnier...why isn't she getting movie roles?

Just think about this for a moment...My favorite Betty White movie is HARD RAIN.

Agreed. I have never thought she was funny. I didn't like Golden Girls when it was out, and White has been the same character in everything I've ever seen her in.

(Drat. Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I shall not put.)

I thought she was terrible in this movie, but I can't say I'm sick of her all based on one movie. I do agree the schtick seems to be wearing out a little, but I don't know if it has yet, because this is the only recent movie I've seen where I wasn't falling for it.
