Somebody tell Betty White her 15,000,000 Minutes of fame are up!

O.K. I get it. Betty White is Old and doing things that people 40 years younger are doing. I loved it when it was done in Grandma's Boy, Back To School, Going In Style, Stop or my Mom will Shoot, Cacoon, Cacoon 2, etc...

But I have seen her do the same Facebook joke three times this week. It really was cute on SNL, and the Snickers commercial. I am just pleading with her to perhaps think about moving over to let some of the other 100 year old actors have some work.

Baud, your post is disrespectful and lacks intelligent content. Betty White is an icon, a legend. If you don't like her work, don't watch her but no need to show disrespect to someone who has lived to be her age and manages to stay active, well loved & a productive member of our society. She's amazing.

90% of this thread are people talking out their ass. the OP didnt say anything really disrespectful about her. i have to sorta agree because Betty White has recently been typecasted now. and believe it or not but sooner or later its gonna get tiring. "OH SHE'S BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR 90 YEARS! LET HER DO WHAT SHE WANTS! YOU'RE A TROLL!" all because they said the truth? yes, Betty White is awesome but it wont be long till we're saying "oh Betty White's in this comedy as the grandma? again?". it really is great to see all the supoort she's getting from everyone but i really havent seen HER COMEDY, as in her own material, i've only seen her do stuff where she's given lines. if thats what everyone's basing their love of her on then you're not even on point saying how great she is just because she got funny lines in whatever she's in. somebody give me a link to one of her stand up routines because thats what we should be complementing her on, her OWN comedy, not the lines written for her.

AND if you think this is "hating" on Betty White, then you need to look at what you're doing with your life obsessing over a 88 year old actress and whoever says the slightest non-postitve thing about her. i love Betty White, she is a great actress, but are you really gonna get mad because someone says "why does Betty White keep playing the same character?"

What other role do you expect her to play? She's elderly. It's not like there are tons and tons of different roles for someone her age. And you're the only person I've seen demand that someone seek out an actress' stand-up comedy in order to have an opinion about them. What kind of requirement is that for someone to be able to commend an actress for being humorous?

I agree... Betty White is funny, but it seems like every single thing she does now just puts her in situation where she just spouts pop culture references, and it has grown tiring.

well, hate to say it but i kinda agree w/ the orig. poster lol. I mean, Betty White is a legend in the business at this point, and is VERY old so she deserves some respect, but the endless hype and those Fcaebook, Twitter jokes are REALLY tired now LOL. Its just very gimmicky what theyre doing w/ this over the top admiration for Betty White all of a sudden.

I agree with the OP, more or less. It seems Betty White has returned to fame in that annoying "ironic hipster" sense, starting from kids starting Facebook groups and whatnot. All these people saying"Betty White is so awesome!" probably didn't know of her existence until the past year or two, or at least aren't aware of her very long and far-reaching resume in Hollywood. Enough with the trend of "ironically" liking old people who are given scripts to say outrageous things.

Agree about the Betty White love being "hip". I don't care about her either way, I thought she added nothing to "You Again" though and was quite a pointless character.
