Truth is men could undo it all if they wanted to
If men decided one day to take away all womens rights there would be little that women could do to stop it.
Modern men believe equality is fair, reasonable and the right thing to do.
This is a really good thing.
But still I suggest that it isn't taken for granted; just look at Afghanistan.
Afghanistan was quite progressive with women being given the right to vote in 1919 and saw pushes for equality and representation in line with the west. That is until the unrest in the 70's and onwards.
Once the male dominated Taliban came to power though in the 90's women and girls were:
Banned from going to school or studying
Banned from working
Banned from leaving the house without a male chaperone
Banned from showing their skin in public
Banned from accessing healthcare delivered by men (with women forbidden from working, healthcare was virtually inaccessible)
Banned from being involved in politics or speaking publicly
There is nothing they can do over there to stop it.
