What were they thinkin casting this guy as the lead? It does not work. 15 minutes and I am out, done.

He's Hispanic in the books by the way, if that was your issue.

Oh shut up, this is the thread for the Netflix series not the movie. I really like the movie and the character but this is not it.

It worked rather well as the casting all around was good. Some details were changed from the book, but I liked the series.

He's not a very good actor IMO.
I moved on after 20 mins.

What did not work for you? Mickey Haller's mother is Mexican. Haller describes himself as, "more south of the border than north". Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is a Mexican actor educated in the USA.

Sounds like a good casting choice; better than Matthew McConaughey in the 2011 film.

I'm on episode 2 and I've got to say he's got zero charisma. Don't think I'm sticking with this one
