IMDBers made me waste my money

I went to go and see it last night with my Mrs. I thought '7 odd stars, that seems good'. Watched the trailer and it looked decent.

In actual fact though, it was a load of rubbish.

Worst back story ever. They just thought of something really quick that would get her into the ward... And she was in there about 2 minutes into the film. Plus, I don't even understand why she went to the ward? Why didn't she go to the police station or anything?

Then, all the girls in the ward are sexy. Apart from the one ugly one. It's like they just wanted to cram some hot girls in the film to make it better.

There's probably more I could go on about but I can't remember so I'll go straight to the ending...

The twist. It's been done.

Shrooms anyone?????

I found the whole experience to be dull and lacking flair. I love John Carpenter's 70s & 80s work, but this didn't have any of the edgy atmosphere and interesting characters you'd find in this best work. There was no Carpenter magic at all.. it just felt like a very by numbers, second-rate film.

When I saw John Carpenter's name attached to it.. I was excited. Unfortunately, the film left me very deflated and underwhelmed.

I respect your opinion but I think you dont get the whole thing about the movie. Those sexy girls (of course they are made to look like that) because they represent Alice (the original identity) which is good looking and well, SEXY.

Though this is not the first time that I saw a movie like this (watch Identity), I'm still amazed at the UNEXPECTED switch of focus of the story.

Well, the ending is a bit disappointing but if you will look it the other way around, it kind of suggest that what we think happens is not really what happened.

All in all, this is one of Carpenter's great work. 7 out of 10 stars.

Never ever trust imdb scores, read some reviews instead and then make up ur mind, trusting the score is like buying a lottery ticket and hoping to win. The score allways start to be more true after a year or two.

Details are important and yes my grammar do suck...
