Does anyone actually like the Mods?

This is not a complain about the mods thread.

If you actually like the mods and want to see them included in any future seasons, let us know here.

reply

Nope, if they were on Coruscant I'd be ok with them but they look out of place in Tatooine.

reply

They'd look out of place there too. It's the way they were presented, not the idea of them. The look is just all wrong. The colors, styles, etc. It doesn't look like Star Wars.

This is what droids and people with artificial parts look like in Star Wars:

They aren't gritty or realistic enough.

reply

Yup, very true.

reply

Bingo! Wrong setting, Coruscant is much more fitting.

Yes, they are my favorite characters after the jawas and thank you for thinking of us readers on here when making future Star Wars projects.

reply

Can't keep up with you kids, just yesterday Ewoks were the thing!

reply

I love the ewoks too but they have no place on the planet Tatoonie. On Tatoonie, the jawas are my favorite

reply

That's very narrow-minded of you, I'll be having a word with the Professor.

What if an adventurous Ewok wanted to go travelling and fancied a trip to Tatooine, he could even team up with a Jawa! I’d watch it!

reply

Do the ewoks have the technology to fly space ships? I don't think they travel from planet to planet

reply

C3PO babbled alot to them, they must have learnt something from him or one of the Rebel Pilots, it's a plot hole if not.

reply

Now thats very interesting. But let me give it some more thought before we label this as a plot hole

reply

You teenagers are too young to remember the famous Jar Jar Binks!

reply

Of course I remember Jar Jar. He was my favorite character from episode 1

reply

Cool concept characters. Impossible to pull off on a tv show budget. They should have been used as a crime element in the seedy underbelly of Coruscant.

reply

It was a interesting idea that was poorly executed. You are on a desert planet pretty much void of water... and yet you have a whole group of these squeaky clean biker tooling around on the brightest most colorful squeaky clean speeder bikes that look like the were intended for a revival of a gang in a West Side Story remake. They just look laughable.

reply

How dirty can dry metal get from sand? Water isn't necessary to keep the speeders wiped down. I'm not in love with the Mods by any means but your criticism is nitpicky and not particularly valid.

reply

It was interesting to see characters inspired by Quadrophenia-type mods in the Star Wars universe. But they're woefully out of place on Tatooine.

reply

I would say they're fine. It's always a thin line but in this case they're doing a good job. You can't please everyone. Back in the days a lot of people complaind about them being too harsh. Especially when Trump was elected. They even went so far shutting him down completely. But now he's open again. You have to have thick skin being mod. At probably not even getting paid for it.

reply

Umm...

reply

one reason i give them a pass and jar jar and other annoying characters in star was is that i usually come across the annoying earth equivalent of them sooner or later and realize the star wars universe isn't so different than our own.
