I Thought It Was Funny

I actually really enjoyed this movie so I was surprised by all the negative reviews. You guys need to loosen up and try to find the positive side in things. I love comedy though. The movie has to be really bad for me not to find something good about it, but I know the majority of people don't think like me and each are entitled to their own opinion. I really liked the characters in this movie and thought the drug dealers was pretty funny how he was hardcore, yet affectionate towards his friends lol.

I liked it. For the second poster, I must say they don't show Adventures in Babysitting or other older movies in theatres very often, and it's probaly too dated..:)

I found it better than I thought it would be, I enjoyed it too.

I also enjoyed it.

It was a bit all over the place and random, however there were enough funny parts for me to say I found it to be a good comedy.

I'm not entirely sure why so many people hate it with such passion. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't terrible.

ChefC has it spot on.

I guess you have to suspend disbelief and not think about whether or not the plot makes sense and just enjoy the dialogue. Jonah Hill is a fantastic comedy actor, his timing is brilliant and he had some very good lines in the film.

I actually thought it was one of the better comedies to come out recently.

I'm inclined to agree with you guys. Was it silly, predictable, and entirely unoriginal? Absolutely, but at no point was I bored while watching it. It was amusing, as a solid comedy should be. You can't expect every flick to come out to be an achievement in film-making. Realistic expectations is all it comes down to.

I also liked it, and think it's bizarre and worthy of some kind of sociological study why so much of the audience didn't like this very good comedy. As many have noted, it's an obvious remake of "Adventures in Babysitting" (the movie that made me an adoring fan of Elizabeth Shue for life), the fine value of which is not diminished or upstaged by this new version, which is equally fine on its own independent footing.

Jonah Hill is a good actor, and he is blessed with a very engaging personality. That would make him a good comedic actor almost automatically, but he is further blessed with a comedic sense that makes a good performance excellent.

I gave this movie an 8.
