Thought it was one of the wokest and dumbest films I've seen, but the ending saves it in the end (spoiler?)

I think this film serves as an allegory - the ending showing us that the only way for there to be no conflict between human beings is if people stop listening to their moronic, psychotic, anti-human leaders.

Could they have made the film in such a way that the entire premise did not seem so utterly dumb? I suspect they could have, but then I think the 'end of the world' scenario also served as part of the allegory, hence its inclusion.

So, in the end..... I'm not going to fail this film in terms of its rating - the message of the film is that important. If the plot of the film was more realistic and less allegorical - the message of the film could still have been conveyed to the masses without the eye rolls and lead the film to have a much better score. 6/10 - it's all about the message

From my experience, people who have such a strong interest in science and engineering to go into space simply wouldn't allow such division to occur, regardless of government instructions. I think they would be completely transparent about it towards each other and work together to even conspire against their governments and remain peaceful.

So once that was established, their governments could have sent up additional 'commando' crews to secure the station, and then there'd be a proper movie!

As it was... it was a waste of time.

Indeed - there are a lot of things which are nonsensical, which is why I'm treating it as a fantasy-like allegory.
It's a fantasy (due to lack of logic) film being sold as sci-fi, which is unfortunate, but the ending is why I think there's value to this film - especially in these turbulent times, where masses are being divided and set against each other by their own governments.

Well-said, and agreed (mostly-I don't see it as "woke", and although there are dumb-ish parts, as a whole I wouldn't deem the premise completely dumb, even if a stretch). Despite the story's weaknesses, it serves as a morality tale all of humanity should heed.
