Supposedly, The Gorge is a high-level "ultra-top-secret" anomaly that the authorities want absolutely nobody to know about. If so, how were they able to construct the gigantic solid concrete towers on either side? They are far too big to have been constructed off-site and flown in. To build them would have required not only roads and large equipment, but a construction crew that would require a lot of protection and being sworn to secrecy. If secrecy is extremely important, it's not wise to have a large crew, but that's the only way to get the job done. Does the movie actually explain this?

the entire construction from gorge to towers looked ridiculous..
i agree, no way it remained a secret since the 1940s

The movie shows that the watchtower were build in the 40s and it is also in the end clear what happened to the people who built it.
And with the Americans and Russia in this game, it could be easily explained that basically all satellite pictures of that area were manipulated. Modern satellites then got distracted by the cloaker technology.

Still have a lot of questions, like: what are they eating? Some were still alive after 80 years, how?

Etc.

Levi mentions some lost battalions. They sent come battalions down there to die, and then they used a cover story to say that those soldiers were war casualties

yeah, but when they got there we only saw like 4 of them, or something.

They seemed to be a lot only when escalading the walls. And I guess that it kept happening before the 2 of them were there. So most of them should had been dead by now.

Another thing: They were not surprised at all when they first saw the monsters? No WTF are those?

A lot of the people were incorporated into the vine monster that they torched in the lower level.

Government can keep things secret. That’s how government conspiracies acquire such a footing . They likely killed everyone involved in making the towers ( they used a cover story to sell to their families)

They explained everything in the movie. they were doing experimental testing down there. the toxin or whatever got loose. the toxin bonded all living elements together making those creatures, trees etc. even after all those years it was still toxic down there. they sent a crew down there to do more experiments or take readings in the 2000's hence the newer computer equipment but they turned also i believe.
