Anyone else feel like some scenes linger for an awkward amount of time?

it’s not a good idea to start a show off like this. for people getting home from work and starting watching this late have trouble getting into it. i’ve heard reports of people trying 2 or 3 times to get into it.

I have only just commenced episode 1 and I literally got 18 mins in and turned it off to come onto Movie Chat to see if anyone else had commented / noticed how slow the dialogue of this show is?
It feels stilted and very awkward.
I’ll continue on eventually but I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s noticed it.

This is just so bad. Dave Filoni has no idea what he is doing in this thing. People who sat through his animated stuff could say whether those were good or not. But, he just has no idea at all what he is doing in this. Jon Favreau who is able to write and direct competently is clearly staying as far away from this disaster as possible. Wise of him.

Episode 6 is the most guilty of this. Slow panoramic shots of a tundra wastand ? Everybody was saying Bravo, not me, I was saying Boo. Worst episode of the season.

This whole show is shot in front of a green screen and likely cobbled together from a series of reworked shoots. I suspect a lot of the scenes didn't even have all the actors in the same room at the same time. I can't think of any other reason for all the awkward pauses. The visual effects and the acting aren't remotely in sync. They just shot tons of footage of the actors just standing around staring. Waiting to get filled up with CGI later.

I didn't feel awkward about it.

This stood out to me as well. The pacing was all over the place, and those long pauses and lingering shots negatively impacted the viewing experience.
