well..... it displays someone making bad decisions. almost every film ever shows people doing the wrong thing.
yes, his actions are horrible - just like many actions are in every horror film people watch.
without conflict, most movies really really suck.
but the movie turns a crime into a love story. just like every stalker wish it turns out.
huh. people murdering and killing other people as entertainment (horror films) happens all the time, and no one cares a bit. no one was murdered, killed, dismembered, mamed, raped, beheaded, suffocated, burned, tortured in this film... AND they saved five thousand lives.
I guess it is all in perspective. :)

so a lead character can never recover from their bad decisions in their story arc? would that be a NON-arc story? I dont think that works either
it is a touchy situation - what would you do faced with that situation - and why it makes for a great conflict.
i would wake a hottie and then when I grew tired of her, I'd take her on the space walk and, oops, unclip her tether and watch her float away. Then I'd wake up the the second hottest chick.
