I watched the film again last night and noticed some bits I haven't earlier.
I really think Catherine masked that whole husband cheating on me story to get to know Chloe.
We're here, no worries.
Why would you think that of Catherine?
I was analysing Catherine's scenes before they met and she was watching Chloe. Also, the "he's not the client" line when she goes to that hotel looking for Chloe.
Something else I noticed: Chloe looks and acts differently in each of her encounters with Catherine. I think that maybe she wasn't even providing any services. She made that whole story because she fell for Dr. Stewart and wanted to bring love into her life somehow.
Interesting, and as always in a well written story — hard to debunk. Also, in the end, Catherine admitted she enjoyed their sexual encounter.
If I remember correctly, it turned out at the end, that Chloe did not provide any services, maybe apart from that first meeting in a coffee shop, where she asked for some sugar and that was really it. That's why Neeson didn't know who she was, when Catherine arranged that meeting between the three (Chloe just turned and walked away when she saw them).
Unless you meant something else with "providing any services." :)
That too, but also she might not had been considering Catherine a client and doesn't seem to be seeing other clients after meeting the doc. We don't see any scenes like the ones at the beginning of her with men.
P.s. I miss Amanda movies' discussions on the boards. Pity they shut the original ones down.
I think there is at least one scene — when Catherine wants to talk immediately to Chloe and she drags her out of a restaurant. There she was, with a man.
Yeah, I miss all the boards. This site needs to be heavily promoted by word of mouth. That's what I do. I see an increased number of new posts — let's hope for the site to grow, as I find it to be the best replacement for IMDb's message boards.
