Her singing just stinks. I cannot for the life of me figure out why in the world they thought her voice singing rock was a good thing. I thought I was listening to a chipmunk. Even listening to the music as the credits were going by and then here she starts singing Hurricane....I thought I was going to throw up. OMG it literally ruined the movie. And I thought I recognized her and it was from "Dancing with the Stars", she is Derek Hough sister and was on there for a short while. She was also on the new version of Footloose. to which to me was a big mistake. Maybe she needs to stay with dancing and not singing or even acting.Someone must have some crush on her because she seems to be pushed into this acting career. Bad idea, And no one should ever allow her to sing again.

I doubt she'll be getting many more movie roles. Her relationship with Ryan Seacrest is over, and he was probably the reason she got so many chances.

Why they didn't get her naked was puzzling. That was the only thing she would have going for her. Her voice was a total joke. Sounds like a 13 year old brat.

She is beautiful but she didn't have a nice body, she was more famelic-looking than fit skinny...

I have no idea how she got this role. Her voice was like fingernails on a chalk board. She wouldn't have made it past the first round of auditions for American Idol.

Thank you! Her singing voice made my ear bleed. She sounds like a chipmunk on helium. Her looks and acting chops are mediocre, not the worst but not great. I hope she doesn't get any more movie roles. TV roles seem to be more appropriate

She's got a strong voice and it may not be for everybody but her dance and her looks were perfect for this film. I'm not sure who else would be better cast.

I totally agree with you. For the people who think she can't sing, do you actually think she cares? lol Personally, I loved this movie, and I hate musicals! I am a huge 80's music fan, though, so that is probably why I enjoyed this movie. The music in this film was AWESOME!

You realize you say you're a huge 80's music fan then go on to say how much you love hearing people in this movie singing the stuff.. if you're a fan of the music why would you want to hear awful covers of music you allegedly love?

No we don't think she cares (which is the problem) and it's pretty damned obvious after she opens her mouth.

Personally, I enjoyed the music in this film. Was it as good as Def Leppard, Poison, etc.? Definitely not. Was it 'OK'? Yes. It is called an OPINION! If you don't like people's opinions, you are obviously on the wrong forum.

An unknown or musician. She isn't a bad singer or actor exactly, but she isn't 80s and doesn't leap off the screen with charisma and screen presence. She's just...cute. She'd probably be good on Glee or Nashville. She sounds too Britney Spears/modern autotune for Rock Opera.

No she is a bad singer/actor. From the 80's or not she's just a joke. Whoever it was that posted her career is probably done now that she's broken up with seacrest is probably right. But see she'll glom on to some one else that has some relative power in the movie biz and she will continue to stink up whatever she does.

As for the naive person that thinks "amazon ratings" are a basis of her talent... Wake up, companies have shills they hire specifically for the reason of writing positive reviews about their artists. So of the 30 or so reviews i'd be willing to bet less than 1/3 of them are real. Btw who is this "everyone" that is praising her performances? You mean pro movie critics like the ones that get quoted in the commercials for the movie? Seriously either you're 12 or easily one of the most naive people ive ever met lol. You probably also think reality shows are really reality don't you?

Her voice isn't all that smooth but her acting was pretty decent overall.

to me she has the voice of a 5 years old girl singing. cringe worthy
