Am I the only one bothered by the orphanage woman?

The subject name says all. Is there anyone else who is bothered by the sour orphanage owner in the movie and how mean she is to the girls?

No i think alot of people were bothered by that i was also bothered by that. But at the end she really wants the orphans to be apdopted

i grow up in orphanage in turkey compare to women's who looked after us there she is an angel.

She is supposed to be mean and hence why we want the orphans to have a happy ending.
