Wasn't he essentially a villain by the end of Suicide Squad?

Now he's a lovable goofball again?

reply

Yeah I'm curious how they address that after seeing TSS.

reply

They are all villains in The Suicide Squad.

You are Dexter fan, you understand a layered/complicated characters. His dad is as stone cold racist. He's actually a little comparable to Mel Gibson (raised by an awful father). Even Waller's kid, a black woman, gets that.

His dad couldn't have been too awful if he raised a son as respected and beloved as Gibson. He's one of the last few masculine icons of America.

If we had more people like him, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today.

reply

What's it like on your planet?

reply

Wow... So being masculine excuses awful behavior? Good to know!

reply

Seriously. He killed that Joel Kinnaman character - Colonel Rick Flag. The only good and noble character from that movie. The one who wanted to do the right thing. And Peacemaker killed him because he is a dumbass who followed orders from shady government people.

But now he is funny goofy guy. All is forgotten.

reply

Peacemaker regrets killing Flag in this show.

reply

That is a huge part of his arc. He's very troubled from killing flag, and is haunted by his last words. They are part of his motivation to change.

reply

Yeah.. And the things that went down in TSS is coming back to haunt him.

reply

Check out the show, this has been handled very well.
