I don't know. I always keep forgetting acronyms. Used to know what LASER stands for. Now, nope.

I heard the terms SNAFU and FUBAR all the time as a kid. My father told me what SNAFU meant, but I didn't learn what FUBAR meant until I saw Tango and Cash.

I don't even recall learning it. Possibly from my buddies who were in teh miliary, possibly from military sci fi or thrillers I sometimes read.

Originally, F.U.B.A.R. equaled "Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition".
I think from WWII era, like S.N.A.F.U., "Situation Normal All Fouled Up".
Another one ...
B.O.H.I.C.A. stands for "Bend Over, Here It Comes Again".
