Nic Cage starring in Remake!

I just saw in interview on tv with nic cage. hes said he is starting work on a remake. he will be staring in it. is this movie any good? it will probably be better now without the subtitles. i will wait for the remake. any one have any idea what character he will be playing? is there any action in the movie? can't wait for the remake!

and I so hope they don't do a remake, specially if Nicholas Cage is involved in any way!!

I'm sure Nic Cage will do a fine job. There is not much action in the movie, it is more like a very long Law and Order episode (and I like L&O, so that's not meant as an insult).

I hope this isn't true. If they remake it I can just see the stadium scene devolving into a huge shootout with explosions and more than a few celebrity cameos by professional athletes (probably football players, but possibly whatever sport they chose to pick). It will turn the love story from subtle and poignant to frentic and lustful (who wants to bet we get some nudity in there) and will completely destroy the ending with some SAW like hijinx. In other words a complete travesty.

I'm so ugly...that's ok 'cause so are you.

If a remake is done I doubt it would be as powerful as this movie was. The scenes, the musical score, the acting and the brilliant virtuoso like camera skills in this movie will be extremely hard to replicate or impossible to redo. Unless the director of this does the remake I doubt it will surpass El Secreto De sus Ojos.

I like him and I do like some of his movies, not all of them, but I hope he doesn't do a remake of this. You can't. The original was a 10.

oh dear lord. a remake? say it ain't so! nic cage will ruin this wonderful film.

i'm sure nic will make himself the star, as he always does, so he can REALLY ruin it properly.

so... wait. you haven't even seen the movie yet? try watching the original so you can actually enjoy a great film. if you're not into subtitles, perhaps you can at the least, find a dubbed version. i enjoy subtitles, but i would take a dubbed version over any remake any day.

and yes, the film is great. notice the score/rating it got?
