One of the best action movies ever created

Much better than Iron Man 2 (but not as good as Iron Man 1) , RD Jr did a fantastic job, as usual. The action sequences were spectacular as was the plot (I personally liked the twist with Mandarin, but then again I never read the comic books. I was pleasantly surprised, great film, much more intriguing than Captain America.

An action film with heart that's well written (like Iron Man 3) will always please movie patrons more than mindless action.

reply

With the exception of most Michael Bay films, I'm glad people tend to hate mindless action nowadays. They are trending down at the box office for a reason. You need to be a smart film to make money today, like Iron Man 3.

reply

The shadows are going to be an issue today.

reply

some of you guys need to expand your taste in movies! I mean yeah some people liked but the best action movie really?

To live and die in la...the most underrated movie in history! See it

There ya go. Leave off that crack about Captain America. That was a great flick to.

reply

I was right in October and nothing I've seen has changed my mind since. IM3 held up so very very well.

reply

This thread may be tongue in cheek or not but does it matter if it's really true?

reply

Killian made it so. He was exactly what this film needed because more armored bad guys would have seemed dull.

reply

What will Guardians be able to pull off is the question now.

reply

Intriguing maybe but I did love the action in Captain America to.

reply

As has been mentioned, maybe a few flaws but, overall, IM3 is as good as any number three film ever.

reply

I do truly wonder if there is competition between the Avengers main cast. Like RDJ knowing that Chris Evan's Cap is ahead of his high curve? Cap's two films are ahead of Iron Man 1 and 2 at this point.

reply

Yet, Iron Man 3 is considered better than Iron Man 2 so Cap has a tough act to follow in that regard.

reply

The "Great Film -- With a few problems" thread probably had the best debate. This was a great film but not flawless.

reply

Better than Lethal Weapon and Shane Black himself agrees.

reply

Shane Black may just be brown nosing for more work, however.

reply

I thought of this film again as Avengers 2 passed it at the box office. I'm so glad something this good is in the billion dollar club.

reply

If his basement was full of selfrunning suits, why didn't he use them when he was attacked by helicopters? In the same scene he/we saw the 4 or 5 "prime" suits burn up like papir WTF?. This was truly an awful movie filled with so many plot holes and stupid scenes.

reply

The only suit that was controlled by himself and Jarvis was the prototype he was wearing. Jarvis tapped in and created the links to the other during the course of the film. Maybe you should pay attention the next time you see it. Then you'll see why smart people enjoyed it so much.

reply

I liked it as much if not better than all of the Lethal Weapon movies and those are some cool flicks. The first two are films to be proud of if you're Shane Black.

I accept your surrender.

More to come this very year.

When Captain America: Civil War began reshoots earlier this year, most assumed nothing substantial was being added back into the completed movie. That it was mostly pick-up shots and scene extensions. That's not entirely true. Empire Magazine has an extensive cover story write-up on the sequel. And it reveals that a fan-favorite character was brought back in at the last minute. And it's someone most Marvel fans will be very happy about. Read more at: https://tr.im/tHxn8

Yes, Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts will live again! She is getting a few new scenes in Captain America: Civil War after originally being left out of the original story drafts. Test audiences questioned her whereabouts. Now, general audiences will need to wonder no more. Read more at: https://tr.im/tHxn8
