Anybody know of any cop shows that come even remotely close to Southland? This show was awesome and I feel I need more :)
Boomtown http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319960/reference, from 2002, was a great cop show, which didn't get many viewers. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Southland.

shareSome people on the 19-2 board think it's similar. I can see it too.
19-2 is a Canadian cop show, based on a French Canadian show by the same name. It focuses more on characters than cop work. It's also very adult and very disturbing at times. I think there are too many sex scenes that are too graphic, but I keep watching, because some episodes are...wow.
Another vote for 19-2. Similar but in a Canuk way. I don't think many things on film or TV are in the same league as Southland. The Wire is but I find the acting much better in Southland.
