Anybody know of any cop shows that come even remotely close to Southland? This show was awesome and I feel I need more :)
Hill St Blues they only one thats similar seasonal show.
from the e80s, was a trail blazer trying to sensitively + realistically depict street cop life.
I lived in Japan for a while and it was on repeat there, Great.
Hill Street Blues is a good call. As with Southland, it made you empathise with and invest in the characters, rather than just follow the story.

shareHOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET, one of the best television shows ever (imo). BOOMTOWN was close but short-lived and not quite as gritty.
DETROIT 187 was pretty good too.
