Insane product placement

This movie features some riddiculous product placement. Early in the movie, Vaughn is looking at a Samsung 3DTV, when Ben Stiller approaches and informs him that the TV is full HD, 1080p, wireless etc. Vaughn refers to it as a "miracle of technology"
Product placement has gone too far, anyone agree?

Just watched the movie. The product placements were absolutely a part of the humor! Especially with the whole beer scene in the car, and later Jamarcus popping a beer when they are hiding and spying behind some bushes. "Hey, it's beer", Jamarcus exclaims. And in another scene there is this electric ad hanging on the wall simply saying BEER. Quite funny.

Didn't notice that other than just an intro to Ben Stiller being a competent employee and creating a connection with Vince Vaughn.

Also, I already knew Costco was a good company with good pay for staff and I utilize it for company purposes all the time. A good company with good prices and people that are obsessed with only buying stuff from Costco because they're insane. My wife is one of them.

The Costco thing is excessive but I'm OK with it because it's just a part of culture. No different than mentioning Walmart or Target. It's just a place people go. If it was a Denny's it would be a negative connotation. Of course, Denny's is terrible, but, to quote a comedian who's name escapes me, "Denny's... Hey, it's late." If it's 3AM, I'll hit up a Denny's. I don't know if they're still around but they used to be.
