Mine was a couple weeks after I turned 16. I remember being pretty pleased the whole next day at school and telling my buddies as we were running laps around the football field. But to be honest, getting my first BJ at 15 made me happier than losing my virginity for some reason.
At what age did you first have sex? I'm assuming the average age is probably around 17 and curious to see if that holds true.
@Dreamcatcher9000 I prefer BJ's over regular to. Not because I'm lazy or selfish either. It goes both ways. There's something extremely erotic about eating at the Y. Plus for a lot of girls, it's the only way they can get off. Most of all though, no unwanted surprises a few months down the road.
I was 21 when I had sex, but getting blow jobs at 13.

I was 14 and that was actually pretty late compared to others in my school. I remember American pie came out the year before and made me scared that I was going to embarrass myself like Jim did in the movie. Luckily that didn't happen :p, but I still always wished for another chance to do it better with that girl after I had some experience under my belt!
20 and still a virgin!!! Haha, I'm so proud of myself! By choice, too. Waiting on someone who I actually want to do it with and who truly has feelings for me.
I was 24, and it was with the man I am now married to. We had talked marriage at that point and I was head over heels....I had wanted to wait until marriage, and I'm a little sorry I didn't (we got married 8 months after we met, so it wouldn't have been too much of a wait!).
I don't regret one bit waiting for the absolute right person. We have been married 17+ years and together almost 18 years. Fourteen, 15, 16....it's too young. Sex is a big deal, or it should be. "Kids today" are too casual about it.
That's great that you waited and it was with your husband! I waited for the right man too, and my first time was at 27 and was 3 days after our wedding, in a hotel room in Cancun while listening to the sounds of the ocean in the background, and literal fireworks out on the beach outside of our room. I was wearing a nightie that had a matching robe and they were more expensive than my wedding dress, (since I borrowed the dress). This was 15 yrs ago, and they were $280 at Victoria's Secret BACK THEN!
I wish that everyone could have a setting that romantic for their first time and that others would at least wait until it was someone they loved who loved them just as much.
I think I would feel unfulfilled emotionally if I had sex with someone I didnt love. BUt maybe it's just me. But I must admit that I have always been curious about how it would be with someone else, wondering if they would do things differently and if they did, if it would cause me to react to that by doing things differently myself. I suppose I will always wonder that.
The one bad thing about being a virgin when you marry is if your spouse wasnt one too. Then he has memories of sex with all these different women and if you've met them (like in our case), you cant help but picture them in that way sometimes, (even though you REALLY, REALLY dont want to! But, your spouse has the advantage and gift of never having to have that image in his/her head of you with someone else.
For those of you who are still virgins, hold out for someone you truly love and preferably are married to. You won't regret it! And for goodness sakes, dont be one of those idiots that just gives it away to some random person "just to be 'rid' of it", (like I have heard a few ppl I know discuss!) YUCK!

let me be the bearer of good news, i don't think anyone in a committed monogamous relationship (married or not) "thinks" about previous. i know i don't think about previous with my wife, and i certainly don't imagine what she was like pre-me.

I was 13. My boyfriend and I were together for about 2 years after that. We only broke up because he moved out of state. That was 10 years ago and I still don't regret it.
