i heard there is a lot of..
van morrison music in this.
shareYes there is. I'm listening to some from the soundtrack now. There are also scenes from Star Trek, High Noon and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, oddly enough.
Good movie. It's #1 on Variety's list of favorites to win a best picture Oscar. But only five people in the audience. I guess most people are watching crap from MCU or DC.

what's your rating?

I give it an 7.8.

i hear it is boring.

It's slow moving, but not boring.

In my opinion (don't get angry and try to nuke my life for an opinion you won't care about within a few minutes of reading this)
The black and white transition looked like somebody turned the colour down on the HD TV. They could have at least added some grain, and doctored the image to make it feel authentic. It looked too clear, like it was filmed with a HD camera and a generic lens.
It's a cool 1 hour 37 mins and I still found it dragging a little.
I watched Power of the Dog at 2 hour 6 mins and never felt it dragging even though it has a way slower pace.
It reminded me of that British film Hope and Glory, which is a view of the WW2 blitz in London through the eyes of a child. I think it's way better handled in that film.

Also, Jamie Boreman is a block of wood. He was good in Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, but his only requirement there was to play a block of wood while the funny people did their thing around him.
"nuke my life"???
🤨
It's 2020! Opposite opinions are literally Hitler, and deserved of losing your livelihood, friends, family and anything you ever loved.
And I was part of the imdb boards which was a bloodbath. IMDB boards were weak sauce compared to now.
Belfast was a 6/10 in my opinion.
Doxx me, SWAT me, death threats, I don't care. I have nothing to lose!
lol
no way
no lgbtqrsfd, no colored peeps - only white? No fucking way it's gonna win best picture oscar
We shall see.
🤨
It won't win, it's going to be The Power of the Dog.

Yep. I was very pleased that CODA won. It was a good old fashioned story about love and family,
and I loved it.
I'm especially glad Power of the Dog did NOT win. I was afraid it was going to win because a woman
directed it (Hollyweird LOVES diversity, usually more than actual quality) and it dealt with repressed homosexuality, a favorite subject of the morons in the Woke Mob.
😎
Meanwhile, Will Smith is a fucking asshole for assaulting Chris Rock over a fucking JOKE! The damn morons in the Woke Mob REFUSE to allow anyone to tell a joke.
If he had been white, he would have been immediately arrested, and escorted out. As it stands, that punk ass Smith will face absolutely NO consequences for his violent act.

Stop lying, troll. And their term "colored" has been outdated as hell for over 50 years now. Nobody under 60 even says that any more. You truly sound dumb as hell saying it.
still a common term in south africa - you are stuck in a bubble

shareThat teacher who kept playing musical chairs with the students may have been black
shareWhat was the movie clip with Jimmy Stewart yelling at John Wayne? I think Lee Marvin or Gary Cooper was also there. And what was the one song not by Van Morrison? Shazzam did not know.
share
I vaguely remember the clip, but I'm not sure what movie it was from.
😎
The Man who shot Liberty Valance
shareYes. I give the movie a 5/10, my mom gave it a 8/10 but we both thought the music was horrid. Besides the black teacher, there were at least 2 black soldiers and a indian/pakistani shopkeeper.
shareVan Morrison….horrid?….everybody can have their own opinion…but even so, it fit the era of the movie.
