shareI'm not sure. The musical and the soundtrack is very popular. And there are loads of people who know nothing about the internet scandal. There is little out there that is entire family friendly. I can see this doing well. As far as mega-hit, probably not.

shareIt doesn't help that they picked an ugly diva who's way too old for the part. The least they could have done if they'd picked a black chick to play the role, was to get a prettier, younger one that didn't have an ego the size of Oz.
I mean, it's kinda iffy that they'd have two women in their 30s playing characters that should have been in their early 20s while attending magical college. Ariana Grande looks like she's permanently 15, so it's not quite so bad for her. But the aging shows with the bitch playing Elphaba. You wanta know what's the biggest cosmic joke ever? She's one year older than Margaret Mitchell was when she played the same role in the 1939 Wizard of Oz story! Lol!

I think it Wicked will suck big time (judging by the trailers) but I also think it will be a fairly big hit at the box office.
