Karl Urban or Brad Pitt

The way Karl holds his gun, the way he strokes his tie, the way he drinks his coffee, the way he delivers his lines, and even the hair. All the nuances of every part of his performance looks like he studied at the Acting School Of Brad Pitt. Anyone agree?

reply

Wow.

I thought I was the only one who felt that?

His first scene, I really thought it was Brad Pitt. Until I got a good look of his face.

reply

He does remind me a lot of Brad Pitt, it's kind of crazy!

When he is talking to Sarah, taking off his jacket, stroking his tie a few times, and says "listen Sarah".....Sooooo Brad Pitt but I loved it :-)

Actually, if I close my eyes in that scene and only that scene, I can put his voice to Anthony LaPaglia from Without a Trace. It must be the 'Down Under' of American accents - if that makes sense.

I don't particularly like American accents. I like the way Urban speaks in interviews...it's warm and easy to understand for someone who does not speak English as a first language. I'd love to hear him speaking some Queen's English...oh so sexy :P

Just watched the movie and the first thing I thought was: Man, Urban behaves like Pitt! The way he pursed his lips, the way he looks at other people and so many other little details. Don't know though whether this was intended. But funny!

OMG..I totally agree..it was the first thing I said when the credits rolled..I think they could play brothers FOR SURE..would be nice to watch both of them on screen together..great eye candy!!

reply

I would like to see how Karl Urban would portray the part that Brad does in Twelve Monkeys.

Karl Urban as Mickey in Snatch?
I don't think so.

Lt. Aldo Raine: No!!!

Benjamin Button: Not...

Joe Black???

Need I keep going?

I can't imagine it in my wildest dreams.
Or, in any other part Brad has been in.
Two different actors (way different).

Two different, and great, actors. I favor Urban, but you have to remember Pitt has been in the main stream a LOT longer than Urban. What really irritates me about several of these posts is the implication that Urban is impersonating Pitt. No so at all. They may resemble each other in looks, to a point, but that is it.

I agree.
The OP was comparing Karl Urban to Brad Pitt and how Karl Urban was better than Brad Pitt.
I know each actor has their own style and Karl Urban is not trying to emulate Brad Pitt.

No. Karl Urban reminds me of Karl Urban.
