Nice try, have a cookie for that, but in the end. This is the End failed miserably like 90% of other American comedies. You just don't get subtlety or comedic timing. American comedies are about as subtle as a brick through the window.

-Wes Anderson Movies
and so on....
Brits have made what? Handful of internationally funny things:
-Mr Bean
-Monty Python
-Shaun of the Dead
-The Office (although I find the american remake funnier)
-Coupling (maybe, even thought its just a crappier copy of "Friends")
and ... thats about it?
