I am of a "certain age".
I hated Scott Bakula, and I really hated "Raymond" - I LOVED Andre Braugher (however you spell it) on Homicide. I never would have watched this show because of who was in it but my brother-in-law (whose taste in movies and television I usually do not share) turned me on to it. It is just so well written and the characters are so well developed. And they get so many little things right, it just rings true on so many levels. It's a show I won't miss, now.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.
46 here, love this show, also loved ELR(one of the few apparently on this board) and because RR was involved, I decided to tune in and I'm so glad I did. I'm a little perplexed however by some 20 somethings saying "things" haven't turned out the way they thought or wanted them to. I'm sorry, but in most cases(not all) that's your own fault. If "things" aren't the way you want them to be, make changes in your life. Life is about choices and in most cases, the choices one makes, determines the outcome of one's life. Within reason, it is never too late to make changes in one's life. I don't have any regrets about the way "things" turned out for me but that's because I didn't just sit back and let "things" happen, I went out and made "things" happen. Set some goals, and make them happen.
My Tae Kwon Do instructor tells me I'm just two moves away from becoming quite threatening!
I just turned 48 a couple of weeks ago.
I love the show because I can relate to it, being of that certain age. But after seeing this thread, I have to say that I'm (pleasantly) shocked how wide an age group this show has managed to attract. I guess everyone can relate to quality television, no matter what the age.

The show is relatable for any age. Sometimes your life doesn't turn out like you thought it would. Like Owen, I have diabetes. I am a type 1 and I take 5 shots or more a day of insulin.
The OP was two years ago. So, that would make the youngest 19 and the oldest 69.
Interesting demographic. Wonder what the suits would say to that.
