You should spend your time feeling sorry for others who actually need help. If you want to feel sorry for either of them in any particular movies then for Natalie Portman you should maybe feel sorry for her being in the Star Wars prequels. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but it must have been awful as an actor working in those films.

Then for James Franco? I was excited about the buildup for his character in the Spider-Man movies. He did a really good job in Spider-Man 2 especially. Spider-Man 3 was a joke. That is really disappointing considering that Sam Raimi was the director. Among the films I have seen of his that must be the worst film he had to work in without looking over interviews with him. I personally think he is such a laid back individual he probably at least has fun with the casts whenever they are not shooting... so even if it is not the best project he'll find a way to have a good time.

Are you kidding? First of all, the movie was great.
Second of all, maybe they were tired of doing serious movies?
Franco and Portman were obviously having fun with this movie instead having to have a stick up their asses, they could chil.

Why do you feel sorry for them? They knew what kind of movie they were making. They weren't forced by gunpoint. Maybe they just wanted to be a part of a fun movie to make. Is that so bad?

I never really understood this type of mentality, though. You're basically saying "I feel bad these actors were in a movie I don't like. They should only be in movies I like, and nothing else." Get over yourself.

I never understand when people say they're sorry for or ashamed of an actor.
They got paid for the part! They don't care! Especially not when you're as relevant as Franco and Portman and even with a box office bombed, poorly recieved movie they would be cast in another movie right after...
