I don't feel bad for them. If they thought the movie was bad to begin with I doubt they'd have agreed to be a part of it. Overall, it wasn't a HORRIBLE movie, but it wasn't nearly as funny as I was hoping it to be. I have to admit, though, we did get a laugh out of a few lines. It was worth a watch, but it's not one of my favorites.

I don't feel bad for them. They both have far more money than I ever will, and both seemed to have had fun making this film. What's to feel sorry for? They had fun, and got paid exorbitant amounts of money to do it. I assume, then, that what the OP means is that they're too good to be in this film...that it's beneath them. Franco doesn't seem to be a super-star to me, and if Portman has anything to be ashamed of, it isn't this film...it's those awful-f()cking Star Wars prequels.

Here's to the health of Cardinal Puff.

i love when people put movie in "scare quotes", as if movie is some sort of qualitative designation. do you know what a movie is, little one? what a crude and silly overreaction to this Film.

These guys had a great time doing the film! It's just themselves being themselves with costumes on. 90% of the lines were improvised, there wasn't even a script on set so what you're seeing is James' and Natale's sense of humour. Check out FunnyOrDie.com, Franco has his own profile. They're both very prestigious actors, yes, but it doesn't mean they don't know how to have fun. For the record, this is a hilarious film if you've got the right taste.
