Did Wonder Woman really need to obliterate that entire floor to take out 1 guy?

When she saves the people thats about to be gunned down, she takes out most of the men, then 1 guy is left, he unloads rounds, she blocks them, then he reloads. And instead of just knocking him out, she does her big power blast and completely destroys him and blows out that entire floors wall, debris falls everywhere, could've killed people all that debris of concrete wall flying everywhere below.

When all she had to do was rush the guy and just knock him out like she did the others.

In short: No, it wasn't necessary but it was way cooler than just pushing him.

In-movie, I think there's an argument to be made in favor of showing off her power.

The terrorists were out to sow terror; that's what they do, as the lassoed guy confirmed once he was forced to tell the truth (well OK, after he was TOLD that the lasso of Hestia would force him to tell the truth).

Blowing the guy through the wall makes it publicly clear, in no uncertain terms, how pathetically, hilariously impotent they actually were.

Sometimes it's not enough to beat the bad guys; you have to humiliate them so their supporters lose faith and give up on them.

For what it's worth, I got this notion from Miller's "Dark Knight Returns," where Batman makes it a point to beat the mutant leader in front of his troops by taking him on Mano a Mano and breaking his bones.

He does the same thing in the far inferior series, "Batman: The Cult," by humiliating a cult leader so thoroughly that his own cultists kill him.
