Will this suck more than Josh Whedons version ?
3 hours of pure garbage vs 2 hours of pure garbage ? hmm tough one to call

shareI think it will actually be a little better since they are pumping even more money into it. Whedon's was so awful there is only room to go up.
shareYou do know the original movie was made by Synder and not whedon? Whedon only added bits here and there, whereas the majority of the movie was Synder's.
The fun, emotional and light-hearted bits to the movie were from Whedon - take those out and your left with an emotionless, dull and boring movie that Synder created and that will now be even more longer to get depressed with.
Yes, of course. The core of the original film was Snyder's, but there were a lot of reshoots, especially with Superman, and Whedon did the editing which is essentially piecing it all together. The end result was a terrible film. So bad that Snyder will probably try to make something almost completely different which he can do because there is probably like 5 or 6 hours of actual footage and then they gave him 30 million to beef up the CGI. Will it be better than terrible? Maybe, certainly not saying it will be any good.
shareThe whole point is Whedon made it decent coherent story, might not been the best but he sugarcoated it with his niceties and now they will be taking out the of the nice sugar coating and adding more of the bad cake on top of it - CGI was not the problem the bad storyline was and 30 million on 250+ already is not much at all.
We'll have to wait and see but going on Snyder previous record you will see he's all style over substance (images / symbolism and messages rather a coherent storyline) and that can probably work on a trailer which is why all the trailers have been decent but a tentpole movie likes this you need substance.
Well we don't really know if Snyder's version would not have been a coherent story, but I guess we'll find out. I don't disagree his filmmaking is all style rather than exposition, but I do disagree that Whedon's final cut was anything decent. Loads of people complained about the CGI in this film from Superman and the villain to the ending, personally I felt it was fine. I get what your saying, Whedon polished a turd and Snyder will just replace the polish with dirt.
All in all, I do find it interesting that this is actually coming out after years of people pleading for it.
I never hesitate to admit when i'm wrong, so if it turns out his original vision was the movie of the century or even a really decent movie and it was chopped down to bits by the studio or whedon then i will admit i was wrong, but my gut tells me i'm not and even though he might had ideas of a spectacle and grandeur i don't think it will be much better or overpowered by is style or more likely worse then the current JL.
The CGI was poorly done but that was the least of the problems of the JL movie.
Least there was someone in Warner Brothers who wants to see that synder vision because highly doubt public wanting it would make them change there minds to put money towards releasing an uncompleted movie because most studios won't even release a director cut of movie even if its already complete.
Actually no. Look up Zack's panel where he outlines his original Justice League. Also Zack says he estimates only 25% of his film was used. The DP who worked with Snyder and Whedon says only 10% of what Zack shot was used. Essentially there were 3 writers. What Zack wrote, what Geoff Johns rewrote, and what Whedon re wrote. Zack filmed both his and Geoff's stuff. Whedon did a compelte rewrite of the film and wrote another version of the story that condensed ZAck's 214 min version to a 2 hour version. So the JL Theatrical release only had upwards of 30 mins of Zack's footage.
shareThat wouldn't really be true in that case why go 75% when they could have just made into 100% Whedon's vision? that was probably the studio telling him to say it to distance the film from his previous MOS & BVS disasters.
So if the original justice league was a quarter or so by Zack Synder and the core of the film was his but improved by whedon? So now they will take out the humorous parts which are whedons and the more grounded bits and what are you left with a dull and humourless and even worse bits of the film, is that correct?
As i said going by what synder has created with MOS and BVS then it doesn't look good for the snyder cut of JL, it looks like it will a bigger bloated mess then what Whedon improved it into and even that was a average at best, think what it would have been without that improvement.
Yeah, the few positive things I can say about this movie is mostly due to Whedon. Superman actually smiling and being likeable was Whedon’s idea, for instance.
shareI don't get why is there like positive energy going towards this movie.
Man of Steel and Batman V Superman were both trash.
This movie was never intended to be +4 hours, so I expect it to be extremely boring.
Whedon's Justice League wasn't good either.
BvS Extended Version IS better than the theatrical version. Those extra 20-30 mins although didn't change the movie still added enough to make it almost good. So there is hope.
shareNo it didn't, it was just an extended version of the same movie - no real additions and no change but just made it longer.
In this case the best bits of the movie that whedon added to it will be removed and more of the worst bits extended.
For me BvS extended is far superior version. And i'm not the only one.
We shall see about JL soon.
Fair enough if you enjoyed it then you got your worth out of the film, to me it wasn't worth a watch of it twice ad both disappointments.
shareLet me understand what you just said: so you actually haven't even seen the extended version?
And still you judge it without seeing it?
Lol, ok. That says a lot.
Maybe you should not judge too quick and re-read what i wrote as you didn't understand what i said - why do you think i said it i watched it twice, once the standard and second the extended version.
shareThe extended version is much better and would've saved the movie a lot of misery if that version was released to theaters.
shareCan i ask which extended bit/s was great about the extended version?
shareIt was edited together and paced better.
sharethe original was edited together aswell and pacing was actually slower and longer as there was more not less?
if they cut out the worthless bullet scene and investigation it might have been slightly better but they actually extended a scene that led to nowhere.
It certainly wasn't perfect. I'm not even sure it was a good movie. But it was paced better due to editing.
shareThey added a scene of superman helping people after the blast which made it slightly better but then they extended the bullet scene which was minus in my eyes and extended extra scenes which were unnecessary - so overall it was either slightly worse or equal to the original, so the movie might have flowed better but the problems was what flowed better wasn't a good movie.
So unless they re-shoot majority of the movie and changed the actually theme and content it was never going to be a good movie.

same same, but different.
It will be better.
What made Justice League bad was that it was 2 different movies spliced together, one by Snyder and one by Whedon. I like Whedon's movies and I like Snyder's movies, but JL was disjointed and jarring. It was like 2 good chefs both trying to prepare the same meal and the end result was a jumbled mess.
People say the light hearted humor added by Whedon was the only good part, but it didn't fit. Snyder set the tone in Batman v Superman, and it was brilliant and memorable -- far better than it gets credit for, and far superior to Civil War in every way.
Expecting quality kino from a music clip maker is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
sharewow delusions of grandeur for BvS.
>Snyder set the tone in Batman v Superman
He certainly did.
Far superior to Civil War??? not a chance on gods green earth, BVS was horrendous, i still to this day cannot watch it to the end , awful movie , more disjointed than JL.
share4 hours now...
