Am I the only one who enjoyed this movie?

This movie seems to get a whole lot of hate and I don't get it. Yes, realistically this could never happen N.Korea blah blah blah, but it's a movie. It is supposed to entertain, not be %100 fact based and "OMG DIS COULD HAPEN!1!!1". I personally really liked it, so tell me why you did/n't like it

Yes you are the only one. Watch the original. A million times better.

Had a notification from Netflix that this was available now. Watched this first and the original right after. Have to say that I much preferred this one by far. So the OP is not the only one. I thought it was great: you have suspend credibility, of course, but you have to do that with most films. I'm not a huge fan of "action films", but the characters engaged me more in the later version regardless of how much I like Patrick Swayze.

I also liked Dragon Day - similar premise; much smaller budget and nice ending.

No. You are probably not the only one that enjoys shakey camera and blow up junk more than style, substance, and plot.

No, I just watched it on Netflix and enjoyed it.

I loved this movie, in part because it DID seem so realistic. The week I watched this, North Korea had just threatened the US with a nuclear bomb irl, so that made this movie creepy as sh** to watch. Whether in all reality this sort of thing could really happen, who knows, but my mindset when I watched this and the current world situation made it feel very real and very creepy, which made the movie just that much more enjoyable (in a creepy sort of way) and fascinating to watch.

I liked it, and thought it was a good movie too. Not amazing, but not bad at all either. I was entertained and it was well worth the price of admission. I don't understand the hate; people are too critical these days.

Well I enjoyed it. It was fun for what it was worth.

I watch movies to have fun not to nitpick every detail

I like it too, the only downside (in my opinion) is the cliffhanger-end which was made although it was clear from the beginning that there is no second part to be made.
