Terrible child actor
What. The. Hell?! Judah could not even memorize his lines? He is reading cue cards on set? There wasn't anyone else they could get?

shareMight be true, but it's the least of the movie's problems...
"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"
I think it's intentional.
will Ferrell does the whole staring shtick and speaking random works act as ron burgundy, at least I hope it was intentional. either that or they really dropped the ball.
"im beautiful your not" - me
"you're* " - you

Not sure this kid COULD read. Terrible!
Possibly the worst performance by a human being in any major production in any media at any time since the inception of the performing arts.
shareIt was clearly intentional, I thought it was pretty funny. Having a large number of people on the imdb board question this is the same thing that happens every time an actor jokingly mocks outrage at an awards show.
shareI am shocked that so many people are so stupid. Go back and watch the movie again, take in what kind of movie it is, and you will realize how much of an idiot you are for thinking that the kid is simply a poor actor. It was clearly part of the act. I guess some humor is simply above some people's heads.
Do you really think the movie is suppose to be taken seriously when they have a random battle with a minotaur and the ghost of Stonewall Jackson at the end that makes no sense with the continuity of the move or the universe that it exists in? Didn't think so. The kid did a great job, better than Will Ferrell in some scenes.

do you all think they would use a kid that bad? come on.. of course it's intentional.
"I've seen horrors... horrors that you've seen. But you have no right to call me a murderer."
What was a little confusing is sometimes the kid would be looking off to the right or left towards whoever was "helping" him while other times he wasn't. So although I was pretty sure his horrible acting was intentional, I wasn't 100% sure they wanted him looking away from who he was supposed to be speaking to, since he didn't always do it. Maybe this was part of the whole routine - sometimes he was to act like a horrible child actor who needed help in scenes while other times he was to do a pretty good job. This was either a brilliant idea with a smart kid who could pull off the routine or the worst child actor I've maybe ever seen.
