Sage didnt seem that smart
even though she knows Homelander needs her help , she should be better at handling him to minimise discord.
shareeven though she knows Homelander needs her help , she should be better at handling him to minimise discord.
shareI was thinking the same thing. The smartest person in the world would understand the value of tact. She just comes across like a petulant child.
shareWhat if creating discord is part of her plan, what if Sage is working on causing disunity to ultimately bring down the Seven from the inside or to ultimately take over herself and create that Rome in the USA to see if she can do it, out of not much else than boredom and frustration with the world.
sharemaybe...or she has a deathwish.
shareI don't think she really has any ambitions. She just likes to learn and to know stuff. When Homelander found her, she hadn't used her knowledge to enrich herself in any way. She agrees to work for homelander not because she is malicious, but she genuinely doesn't care about good vs. evil, right vs. wrong. Maybe she sees it as an opportunity to test her wits.
shareSo yeah after that S4 finale I did overshoot the mark, however Sage's reasoning for doing what she did was in the end to see if she could, even if not to take over herself, so yep you were correct Sage has no ambition outside of that can I do it bit to improve her life.
shareIn episode 4 (at 10 minutes 19 seconds) we see that she can't even pronounce "progressive".
shareNo surprise. After all, how do you write "the smartest person on the planet," when you, the writer, are not nearly the smartest person on the planet?
shareThe finale was hilarious when she came in and it was of course all planned.
